Goal for this quarter Thiphakhun N. My goal for this spring 2013 is to improve my language skill. As I am not a native speaker and my mother tongue is not English, I supposed to study the international standard language which is English, to be able to get a better job in my country. I have an idea about taking the TOEFL test to evaluate my English skill after finishing this American through Academic Reading. First of all, I will pay more attention in the class even I don't like reading at all but I am still enroll for Academic reading. (For what? ) Yet, I will try to make myself love it because I realized that it will help me in the future even more or less. Secondly, I will spare some time to review my lesson to gain more new vocabularies. I know that I am not good at remember thing but I do believe that if I try hard I will get what I want. Next, I will listen more English song to improve my listening skill. In the mean time, it will improve my pronunciation through spoken language. If I listen more songs, I meant to different genre of song so I will get diverse accent, slang, street words and idioms. Lastly, I will not be shy and timid to speak English in the public or in front of the real native speakers even I say the wrong words or wrongs accent. I am pretty sure that they will correct it for me; therefore, I will learn the exact one from them.

My goal for this semester is to improve my reading and writing skills. First of all,I will read more books even though I do not like reading. Many people have told me that if you want to be good in writing you have to start reading too. Second of all, practice writing more often. I think the more you practice, the better you get. The last one is to study harder, I will try to be a good student for example come to class every weeks and do all homeworks and assignments. I will study at home too. I will try to read at lease one chapter before come to the next class.
